Project Overview:

This project was an exciting opportunity to design a bespoke client portal for JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle), a global leader in real estate services. The portal was built to serve high-value customers across APAC, the USA, MENA, and beyond, offering exclusive access to property listings, tailored property management services, and premium resources like research reports and financial calculators. My focus was on delivering a seamless, intuitive, and highly personalized experience, ensuring that every interaction felt relevant and valuable.

Challenges and Approach:

1. Complex User Needs
JLL’s clients required a highly personalised experience, from browsing property listings to accessing region-specific resources. I worked on refining the user journey so that the most relevant content surfaced at the right time, minimizing friction and helping users feel in control.

2. Information Overload
With an extensive amount of listings, events, reports, and financial tools, the challenge was to make the experience clear and digestible. I leaned on progressive disclosure, structured navigation, and well-defined visual hierarchies to ensure the right balance between depth and simplicity.

3. Personalisation
Understanding that different regions had different priorities, I designed dynamic user profiles that tailored the portal experience based on location, interests, and past interactions. This meant users weren’t just presented with generic content—they were getting an experience that felt curated just for them.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
While I wasn’t directly involved in the technical integration with JLL’s internal systems like Resiforce and Radar, I worked closely with developers to understand constraints and opportunities. This helped ensure that our designs were not only user-friendly but also technically feasible.

Key Features and UX Solutions:

• Personalized Dashboards

Users were welcomed with dynamic greetings and curated content, including regional property listings, upcoming events, and market insights.

• Enhanced Search & Navigation

A streamlined search and filtering system made it effortless to browse properties, with a flexible structure that could scale as JLL expanded into new regions.

• Resource Hub

A dedicated space for guides, calculators, and research documents, designed for clarity and ease of use. Admins could also upload content seamlessly, ensuring the portal remained up to date.

• Smart Contact & Support System

Instead of a static contact page, we introduced a dynamic support system that displayed relevant contacts based on the user’s location, ensuring a frictionless experience when reaching out for assistance.

Process and Deliverables:

🔍 Discovery & Ideation
I started by collaborating with stakeholders to define user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. This phase helped align expectations and set the foundation for an experience-driven approach.

✏️ Wireframing & Testing
I created low-fidelity wireframes to validate key interactions and workflows, iterating based on stakeholder and user feedback.

🎨 High-Fidelity UI Design
Once the structure was solidified, I designed clean, intuitive, and premium-feeling interfaces that aligned with JLL’s brand, ensuring consistency across both desktop and mobile.

The Launch and Impact:

By early 2025, the JLL Client Portal officially launched, featuring a simplified interface, intuitive navigation, and personalized user dashboards. The platform provided seamless access to property listings, investment insights, and tailored resources, making it easier for clients to find relevant information without unnecessary complexity.

User engagement and adoption in APAC, the USA, and MENA exceeded expectations, establishing the JLL Client Portal as a trusted digital hub for high-value clients seeking exclusive real estate opportunities and insights. The intuitive experience and personalized recommendations led to higher return visits and increased interaction with JLL’s services, solidifying the portal as a key tool in their client relationship strategy.

Conclusion:

Leading the product design for JLL’s Client Portal has been a rewarding challenge. From defining the sitemap to integrating personalized features, our goal was to make the experience as intuitive and engaging as possible.

These efforts not only boosted user engagement and retention but also reinforced the value of a well-structured digital experience in an industry that thrives on trust and exclusivity. Despite challenges such as balancing diverse regional needs and aligning business priorities with user expectations, this project has been an inspiring journey of creativity, problem-solving, and growth in portal design.
